Oh, you wanna know more?

Hey there!

Wish to embrace your authentic feminine leadership qualities while maintaining your respected professional presence? In this blog post, we explore the use of empowering boundaries in the journey toward embracing your feminine leadership style.

Why now?

A new wave of empowerment is dancing around the world. Integrated into the workplace, women may now feminize workplace culture in win-win ways, conducive to personal and organizational growth.

What is feminine leadership?

To embark on a journey of embracing feminine leadership, it is essential to first understand its essence. Feminine leadership embodies qualities such as empathy, intuition, collaboration, and emotional intelligence. These qualities are not inherently female or less available to men. Our strengths result from survival necessities, and the ability to communicate, collaborate, and multitask historically benefited women more than men.

Feminine leadership is not about looking female or loving the experience of being female. Feminine leadership means giving ourselves permission to show up authentically – with our hormones, our strengths, and our needs.

How feminine leadership helps everyone

As leaders, our job requires leveraging both masculine and feminine leadership traits to drive success and create positive change. That said, constructive masculine traits have been incorporated into workplace norms for centuries, whereas valuable feminine traits have not. Similarly, destructive masculine traits have been accounted for, and earnest masculine needs have been accommodated. Whereas, the same cannot yet be said about feminine traits.

Holding in our need for time off during our menstrual cycle or sleeping more than men is robbing the workplace. By expressing ourselves, we allow workplaces to account for, accommodate, and celebrate feminine traits, as conducive to the workplace environment. Beyond that, we create harmonious balance between assertiveness and nurturing, fostering an environment that encourages diverse perspectives and collaborative growth.

Accounting for the “what-ifs”

You might be wondering, “What if my workplace responds negatively?”

Truth is, no one yet knows how feminity will enhance and detract from the workplace. We have to be humble enough to know that both will occur to some extent. Not because femininity is negative, but because everything has a polarity of positive and negative traits. And humans often hesitate to change, so it may happen that your workplace will have a hard time adjusting.

Allow yourself baby steps toward freedom and experiment with ease. You need not shift your entire way of showing up overnight. It only takes one changed habit or one change to your communication style for people to feel your authenticity increase. This will inspire them to give themselves the same permission to be their true selves at work.

Remember…

Embodying your most authentic qualities is on the path to unlocking your full potential. Your confidence and authenticity are building blocks to the positive impact you’re here to create. It is not only crucial for personal growth but also plays a vital role in reshaping the landscape of leadership.
